Open Lecture by Natacha Buc, PhD: Rethinking the Peopling of the Americas through the Ameghino Collection

The Institute of Archaeology of the University of Wrocław invites all interested participants to attend an open lecture by Natacha Buc, PhD (Universidad de Buenos Aires), entitled Bones, Marks, and Narratives: Rethinking the Peopling of the Americas through the Ameghino Collection (Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle, Paris), organised within the framework of the IDUB programme.

The lecture will address new perspectives on the peopling of the Americas in light of the Ameghino Collection housed at the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle in Paris. Natacha Buc, PhD will discuss the role of skeletal materials and scholarly interpretation in research on the earliest human history of the American continent.

The event will take place on 13 May 2026 at 14:00 in Room 203 of the Institute of Archaeology, University of Wrocław, Szewska Street 48, Wrocław.

The lecture is organised by the Institute of Archaeology, University of Wrocław, in cooperation with the Welcome Point – International Office of the University of Wrocław within the framework of the IDUB programme.
