Craftwork in Small-Scale Societies of the Central European Bronze Age
Published by Cambridge University Press, a new book by Prof. Justyna Baron of the Institute of Archaeology, University of Wrocław, explores selected aspects of craft production and raw material processing in small-scale societies of Central Europe during the Bronze Age.
The study examines production practices within typically small and archaeologically elusive settlements. It addresses, among other issues, the seasonality of production, levels of craft specialisation, and the standardisation of artefacts. The publication offers an important contribution to the study of economic organisation and labour structures in Bronze Age communities, particularly beyond major settlement centres.
The publication is available on the publisher’s website.
