Early Neolithic grinding practices in central Europe: A case study from the LBK micro-region in southwestern Poland
The research team ‘Breaking the Code of Stones’ has published its latest article, titled ‘Early Neolithic grinding practices in Central Europe: A case study from the LBK micro-region in southwestern Poland‘, in the prestigious Journal of Archaeological Science: Reports. The authors of the publication are Dr Bernadeta Kufel-Diakowska, Marcin Chłoń, and Aleksandra Gawron-Szymczyk.
The publication is the result of a research project conducted at the Institute of Archaeology, University of Wrocław, titled ‘Breaking the code of stones. Economic, social and symbolic meaning of the macro-lithic stone artefacts of the Neolithic societies (6th-3th millenia BC) in SW Poland – biographical approach‘ (SONATA BIS-10, 2020/38/E/HS3/00285). The project is carried out with the support of the National Science Centre, Poland.
